With one keystroke, you hear:
the tavern door , the band begins their hearty tune, the local drunk is yelling, and the mysterious man drops a on your table.
Soundscribe puts sound effects, ambience and music on one board, so you can score the scene without looking away from your players. It runs on your Windows PC and plays your own files.
Try the board and its ten themes. Theme: Amethyst. Click a pad or a scene to hear it. These are from the starter pack.
Built by a game master, for your table.
Everything here is in the app today.
A board of pads
Click a pad to play a sound and click again to stop it. Give each pad a name, color, tags and its own hotkey. Set a sound to loop, or give it variants so a sword clash never sounds the same twice.
Scenes
Save music plus layers of ambience as one scene and launch it in a click. Layers can loop, play once, or fire at random intervals, like thunder every 20 to 60 seconds. Moving to a new scene crossfades from the old one.
Music beside your effects
Play your own tracks with shuffle and repeat. Turn on ducking and the music drops under an effect, then comes back. Separate volume for master, music, effects and scenes.
Phone and tablet remote
Scan a QR code and run the board from your phone on the same Wi-Fi. The sound still plays from your PC. The link carries a secret, so only devices you share it with can connect.
Hotkeys that work anywhere
Space pauses the music and Esc stops every effect. Switch on global hotkeys and your pads fire while your virtual tabletop or notes are in front.
Mini overlay
A small window that floats over your other apps with play, skip and a stop-effects button, for when Soundscribe is hidden behind your map.
Your files stay yours
Drop files or folders on the board to import them: MP3, WAV, OGG, FLAC, M4A, Opus and AAC. They are copied into a library folder on your PC and never uploaded anywhere.
Ten themes and a backup
From Amethyst to Parchment to Necrotic, and every pad recolors to match. Export your scenes, tabs, tags and settings to one file and bring them to another PC.

What do I need to run it?
A PC with 64-bit Windows 10 or 11. There is no Mac or Linux version. The phone remote works in any phone or tablet browser on the same Wi-Fi as the PC.
Do I need an account or an internet connection?
No account. The board, scenes and music all work offline with files on your PC. The app goes online only to check for updates.
Can I use my own sounds and music?
Yes. Drop files or folders on the board. Soundscribe copies them into its own library and leaves your originals alone.
Can I get a refund?
All sales are final, so please check the requirements above first. If you were charged twice, or the app will not install and we cannot fix it, email us and we will put it right. See Terms and refunds.
